All I can say is that it is an honor to see one of my favorite weddings I photographed from last summer of Megan & Travis Drake featured in the Alaska Bride & Groom Magazine! It's weird to see my name in such a beautiful magazine and I feel so blessed to have been chosen as one of the top featured stories. The magazine is on newstands at Barnes & Noble, Borders, Fred Meyer & Safeway for 6 months. Okay, Okay! I know what you're thinking...man this chick NEVER blogs! It's true! I'm the worst, but I do vow to get better! So as a rededication to my blogging I have chosen a shoot I did last week that I LOVE of best friends little brother Chris out in Vancouver. I tried to convince Chris he could be a model...but I don't think he was listening! haha. Enjoy!

I love the little ones...

Sienna is such a fun little girl who just turned one year. I actually got to photograph her back when she was around 4 months old with her parents and we had so much fun! They are such a loving family so naturally I was super excited when Tanya(Sienna's mom) called me to take Sienna's one year pictures. We three went out to the old fish canneries in Kenai and did some fun shots early in the morning. We pretty much just ran all around playing and having fun! Here are just a few of the pictures I took...:)

Tammy & Crockett have been together a year now and they came to me wanting to get pictures taken for their anniversary gift to each other. Tammy had told me that she literally had no pictures of them taken together in the year they'd be dating and it was about time! :) As you can see in the pictures we had sooo much fun jumping all over town to locations they both loved. They were both so natural and loving with each other which made my job fun and easy! If you want to see what love looks like...check out these two. :)

Barth Troughton BBQ Fundraiser/Auction

Hey Friends & Family~

My good friend Heidi's Uncle Barth Troughton has been battling with Multiple Myeloma Cancer and undergoing Chemotherapy. There is going to be an awesome fundraiser/barbeque/silent auction for him on June 27th(tomorrow) from 4-7pm at the Homer Elks Lodge.

The barbeque is $10 per person and $25 per family. There will be burgers, hot dogs, salads, dessert and more! Some of the great items that will be at the silent auction are handmade quilts, a Don Henry Spoon Art Piece, Car Paint Job, Car Detail Job, handcrafted shelves, gourmet catered dinner, a photoshoot, gift certificates from Fat Olives, Sea-Glo, Homer's Jeans and lots more!!! It's gonna be a good once.

All of the proceeds go to assist with Barth's cancer treatment expenses.

Oh to be 16 again....sigh....

So these two lovely ladies were most definitely the highlight of my week! Not only were they a total blast to photograph but they told me they wanted to do some fun shots at the fair that was in town for the weekend!! Little did they know that I secretly had been brainstorming who would be game that I could get to go do some fun shots AT THE FAIR!!!!!...so I was totally spoiled having them do these shots for me. We had FUN FUN FUN! On top of all their awesomeness they drove down from Kenai to have me do their photos. Yeah...you guys are definitely rockstars in my book. :) Hayley and Cheyenne, you girls are such sweethearts! Thanks for making my week!
